Clean-Up Day at Heathfield

November 24th - Heathfield Clean-Up Day!

It was a freezing cold day, but there was a great turnout in the grounds of Heathfield Primary School to tidy up the woodland walk area. Nathan from Groundwork was there leading the charge, and together with Jenny from Heathfield, provided tools, gloves and lashings of tea and hot choc! Members from the school, Lingfield Community Partnership, local parents and kids all braved the wind and mud to make a start on clearing old trees, branches and stones for an outdoor classroom space in the school grounds. The next stage is to get going on the allotment project, ready for the growing season in 2008.
